Blue Flower, The Counted Cross Stitch Pattern.

This is the third in the set of seasonal drum designs based on the idea of a tree trunk. This one features autumn-themed flowers and a cast of characters making the trunk of this tree their home.

The model is stitched on 40 count "Dark Mountain" linen from xJudesign. This is a light neutral/gray fabric with slight darker mottling. Stitch count is 240 wide x 89 high. Special thanks to Chris Canaday for stitching the model. The model is trimmed with a tree ring patterned velveteen from Spoonflower. "Nutmeg" velveteen from Lady Dot Creates would be a good option for finishing without the tree ring effect.

Cottage Garden Threads - Sleepy Cat, Cineraria, Putrid Purple

(*) This thread is only used for backstitching around the design and was chosen to blend in well with the fabric color. If you are using a different fabric you can use a different thread.

(**) If you are stitching the design on 14/28 count or lower fabric, you may need 2 skeins of this color.
