Painter's Thread Soie de Paris is a lightly twisted Au ver a Soie 6 strand floss. Easily separated it can be plied to the desired number of strands. More shine than Soie d’Alger, each individual strand is a bit larger than cotton 6 strand floss but can easily be substituted for cotton. Primary current uses are cross stitch, needlepoint, and embroidery.
